I have ordered another DMU from Antics, which should arrive this mid-week. As I know the exact dimensions, I have been able to make the connectors in advance. I have posted a pic for you to see how easy they are to make from black cartridge card. I rearly see them even on exhibition layouts in-spite of the fact that they add so much to the impression of a train. They are best to be home made as the curves on the railway & the spacing between the coaches has to be right. They have a light springy tension, enough to keep them in contact with the one on the next coach, but not so tight so as to restrict the movement. Never had a problem in thirty years. Our coaches are kept in fixed rakes which avoids having them on the end vestibules, which would be unsightly. Hope you like.
