The new class 47 has failed & is now back at 'Anticks' So, Crab has to soldier on for a while longer. Its sixteen wagon train is now several hours late & is up against late afternoon high volume traffic. Once through Coventry it still has the bottleneck of the single line through Stoneleigh. It is supposed to arrive at Banbury yard before 4pm to give time for marshalling there. Some vans are due in Southampton Morton yard in time for shipping. Some hope!!! In reality, I was trainspotting, one Friday lunch time at Coventry in 1960 & I counted forty wagons on this southbound freight. It was travelling well too, behind a Crab.
