Still performing 40 years on (well, give or take a year!) - thanks to John Penhallow for the pic!

I'm still performing a bit, we've got a charity festival coming up in a few weeks time. I spend more time playing piano these days, so why do we have so many guitars in the house? I seem to recall that we went to a folk club somewhere in South London and you had me playing bass on 'I shot the Sheriff'. I was in a rock and roll band for a while b4 I moved to Reading and went back to Folk music, which is where I met the wife Smile I spend a lot of time grandparenting now, we've got a three year old. Glad to know you're still OK. I've never been back to Ullathorne and my last relative in Coventry died a couple of years ago, so the nearest we get is to visit my cousin in Leamington. I gather Coventry is changed out of all recognition anyway. Oh well...

It most certainly is John. There's a couple more somewhere but I have to go hunting for them. Glad you're well. I'm (very) vaguely in touch with James and Mike, also Henry and Paula. Best wishes. I suppose it would make sense if I changed my profile to be email-able. Smile

I've seen several schools with their own place in topics but not Bishop Ullathorne's Girls School. There must be some of you on the forum. I was happy to be there from '59 to '65.

Hi Linda, since there were already comments from people about the girls school here, I moved your comment but changed the title to reflect that originally there were three different parts to the school. Double thumbs up

Hi Kathy, welcome to the forum Wave jenbloxham, at post 31 was in the picture but she posted back in 2015. You could try the contact button which would either leave a message on the forum post or forward it on to her real email, if it's set up to do so. Worth a try. Thumbs up

I think it was 1958/9, we were about 14. What year did you attend?

This photo is of Ullathorne Grammar school, I attended 1956-1961. I think the head was Miss Turketine, not sure of the spelling. I remember Joan Hopkins and Helen Duffin who I think has since died. I was actually in 2 year groups as I stayed down for a year to "catch up".
