After Phillip's sad news came another one.
I had an email on Monday from Cally, Dawn Rowles' youngest daughter - saying that Dawn had "died of multiple organ failure on Saturday 29th May. She had been poorly for a while and even if the organ failure didn't get her the cancer would have".
Posting as Morgana (or Picktywitch), Dawn ruffled a few feathers from time to time, and gave Rob and the Moderators (wouldn't that be a great name for a band!) all sorts of issues to deal with, but she was always worth reading! Her poetry was always interesting, and we continued to correspond about poetry after she left the Forum. I also picked her knowledgeable brain from time to time about horticulture.
Vale Picktywitch.

Sad news indeed. Although we had different opinions on many subjects, she and I always seemed to "get on" better off the forum, and we exchanged many emails about life, Longford and other things - she was always interesting to correspond with.
RIP Dawn.

I was still only on the foothills of learning about Coventry and the forum when she left but it was clear that she knew a lot about a lot and I would have liked to converse more. Sad news.

Sad to hear - I liked reading Morgana's posts as we had much in common.
We both grew up in Radford, though from her posts I think she was a couple of years younger than me. I wonder if Rowles was her maiden name? If so, I probably went to school with one or two of her siblings.

Very sad news. Morgana was the beginning of this forum for me, we had a lot in common, coming from the same district. Her life had intermingled with mine in the past that made me think she was older than she may have been, but I judged her to be a cornerstone of this forum. This forum will miss her information of Coventry, and a friend sadly.

Sad to hear about Morgana. She was on quite a lot when I first joined HC. I had wondered what happened to her when she stopped posting. I notice some of her last posts were about the City of Culture.

Sad news indeed. I missed Morgana on the forum, she was a link with Longford and with a Coventry that is long gone. Rest in Peace, Dawn.

Sorry to see the news of Morgana's passing. Always loved reading her posts, so informative and interesting. I was so disappointed when she decided to leave the Forum. God bless Morgana

Sad news to hear that Morgana has passed away. Dawn had a wealth of information on Coventry and was an informative member of the forum. She was also passionate about horticulture and I was privileged to see the garden she was so proud of. RIP Dawn.

I had an email today from Cally, Dawn's daughter, saying that she had checked out these posts and asking me to thank you all for your kind words.
