Hello, No joke, I get things wrong when I think that I'm right. Have you any enlightenment regards those beautifully furnished buses. Even as late as 1963, I remember playing for a Christening service for members of Coventry's council where by their choice of vehicle, they chose one of those KVC, buses, possibly 156. The quality of ride, quiet in motion, they would match any stretch limo that I see today. Thank you for your warmth & reply. Hold tight. Ding, ding.

Thank you, Wonderful. I never went to Manor House, but the KVC, class were regulars on the No17 to Bagington village, which went from Broadgate past my school. 8.40am was mine to school.

On 15th Jun 2012 2:39am, dutchman said: I'm too young to remember Coventry trams but a bloke I knew many years ago by the name of 'Arthur' told me he cried the day after the Blitz because he knew then the tramway system would be scrapped as a result of the bombing. It was already being phased-out in any case but the Blitz hastened the process by several years.
Hello. I can just about recall the trams as we lived in Churchill Ave. and the Tram Sheds were at the top of the hill just past Lythalls Lane, Foleshill, looking towards Longford. I think there must have been a pretty regular service as I remember locals queueing at the bottom of our road saying if you had just missed one 'look to the hilltop there will soon be another one in sight soon'.
