Very nice

Thanks to Peter and Neil.
On the right it looks like a modern building sandwiched between two old jettied buildings but the 'new' building was probably also old and originally jettied. You can see a small bay window. The building originally had two, one either side of the door. Bays were odd additions to later buildings but not uncommon to pre Georgian ones. The bays remained but the jetties look like they were removed to give the building a more modern look. Sometimes they only removed the upper jetty and bricked up past the central overhang but in the case the width of the road/pavement didn't allow for that. However, having extended out with bay windows, the owners wanted to keep the features, even though they also reduced the pavement. At some point before 1850 the second bay was removed.
I've not seen enough images of the demolition to confirm my theory though, but the building is an odd shape for it to have been built after 1700.
