Does anyone remember a small electrical installation co. operating in Cov in the 60s? I used to live in Radford near to the family of one of the bosses, lovely family, they had one toddler I recall. Silversurfer.

Hello silversurfer, my uncle Derrick Dockerty was one of the partners. From what I remember Mr Tuffin died quite young and my uncle carried it on until he died.

A blast from the past. That name rang a bell. Hadn't heard it for years. I used to see it on the inside adverts of the old Coventry buses, when I were a bairn.
I didn't know what they did, though, despite having spent a large chunk of my working life in electricity/electronics.
There were other good old firms in Coventry, like Storr and Townsend, and Paget and Chilvers. One of the lads in our year (A class I think) was the son of Trevor Chilvers, one of the partners.
