Hello,
I'm missing the breaky because someone very kind is taking this poor soul out for a treat, where I might be buying a new V2 Steam loco, as well as a class 31Diesel.
The "Green Arrow" mentioned is V2, but the one I'm hoping for is the mixed traffic livery.
Does that let me off for missing my bacon sarny?

Hello,
I'm happy to report that the SVR, heritage railway has satisfactorily gained approval from its insurer's to commence civil engineering work to rectify the collapsed bridge north of Hampton Load. Significant excess costs are involved, but it's manageable within their current revenue resources.
I & I'm sure most of our members will wish them well regards this, the work may not be completed for months, much depending on weather.
Like we on are forum, most of the organisation is operated by dedicated volunteers.
When I use the word members as here, I do mean our members, not just the moderators. Many of our members who are not on the moderating team, but are in effect moderators, hard workers grafting info & the like, overseeing constantly.
Without your dedicated support we would be in a mess.
So my turn to say thank you.

Hello,
Bank holidays are often not the best time for public transport. Today for example, a Sunday bus timetable, but almost a normal rail timetable, except for engineering works.
For rail travel, a higher proportion of passengers who are unfamiliar with routines, plus special events that can out of season literally swamp trains.
Me, being a bit potty, I wandered to Coventry station on the off chance of seeing any odd workings. The Trent Valley line is undergoing heavy maintenance, so lots of that traffic is coming through Coventry.
I did have a ride as far as Birmingham international, but was avoiding New St completly. Passengers were being controlled from the concourse, only being allowed into platforms in military batches. (Ham & lettuce I thinks). A particular event in Liverpool, meant that London & Northwestern had added longer trains north of Birmingham, leaving shorter trains running between Birmingham & London. Talk about overcrowding. At Coventry, folks just couldn't get on.
My consolation was a treat at Burger king. I had forgotten how much I used to enjoy their basic burger. Really nice for £1.69.
Just me rambling on, I used to like Mr. Big, & Casey Jones burgers. Technically swallowed up by Burger king, but for fast food burgers I still like Burger king.
Well, that's about it regards the dribble from Coventry North West.
Tarrar for now.
