Headline:
A showery end to summer.
Today:
Scattered blustery showers developing across the region, potentially heavy with thunder and hail at times. Some sunny spells breaking through between showers, but temperatures slightly down compared to Wednesday. Maximum temperature 20 °C.
Tonight:
Occasional showers continuing throughout the night but with clear spells in between. A little misty over the hills. Breezy but staying rather mild for most. Minimum temperature 12 °C.
Friday:
Another day of showers, which again have the potential to be heavy and thundery. Temperatures holding around the late August average in any sunnier interludes, but remaining blustery. Maximum temperature 21 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
More prolonged rain on Saturday, accompanied by strong winds. Then a return to sunshine and blustery showers on Sunday and Monday. Feeling rather cool amongst the rain and brisk winds.
