This is a long shot! My grandmother, (Mary) Monica Hudson, lived at 42 Blackberry Lane and died at Whitley Hospital in December 1970. I have discovered that she was registered blind (if that is relevant) and must have lived in Coventry for nearly 20 years, coming originally from Lancashire. My grandfather remained in Lancashire and they never divorced. I am keen to glean as much info as possible as I last knew her when I was a child. In particular it would be good to know if anybody else lived at that address and whether any of their relatives have knowledge or photos of Monica. Any help in how to fill in the gaps of my tree would be very welcome.

Great and very helpful swift response! It gives me a clue which I can now research further. It would have been Arthur Henry Apedaile who was born in Hartlepool in 1911 and married in Coventry in 1943. It may be possible my Grandmother lodged with him and his wife Phyllis. The fact that the name is unusual should help to track down any relative who may (or may not) be able able to help me further. Gold Star for you Heathite
