Robinson family

Hi, does anyone remember the Robinson family - Charles, Lizzie and son Stanley were born at Grantham in Lincolnshire, some time after 1911 they moved to Coventry. It is possible that Charles died in 1938, it is also possible that Lizzie was living at 14 Silverton Road, Coventry in 1939. I believe that son Stanley married Beatrice Nellie Amos In 1929. In 1911 they were living at 9 Brownlow Street, Grantham, which at that time was a Co-op store. Charles was a baker - I am wondering if they moved to Coventry with the Co-op. If this rings any bells with anyone I would be pleased to here from you. Del.

Here's an entry for the 1939 register, it looks like your memory is sound. 14 Silverton Rd. Lizzie Robinson 13th Dec 1896 widowed. George Thirtwall 25th Jan 1910 single, Foundry Fettler Iron Ferrous

Thanks for that. Yes, that is Lizzie, her birth year is mistranscribed - if you blow up original image it clearly shows as 1876, but birth day is correct. I reckon it must be her. Del.

I have looked into the possibility of George Thirlwall being a relative, but nothing comes up, he may just have been a lodger. Lizzie's son Stanley lived, I believe, at 7 Sandown Avenue, Coventry. He possibly had four children, who may still be living. Del.

Hi and apologies for the mistake, as you say when you blow it right up it is definitely 1876. Also Charles Robinson is living at 14 Silverton Road on the 1935 directory.

Lizzie is still at 14 Silverton Road in 1953.

You are correct about Stanley at No 7 Sandown Avenue too, that is listed in the 1955 dir.

For the 1960 dir. it simply lists Robinson S at the same address, a bit mean with their printing ink methinks.

This looks the most credible death record for Lizzie. Lizzie Robinson, birth year 1877, age 84, death quarter 4, 1961, Nuneaton, Warwickshire. If you would like a screen capture of the other records . . . let me know, happy to oblige.
