Anyone joined the Royal Warwicks to go to Korea in 1953, after training at Budbrook?

And I believe my uncle was also. I know he served in Korea.
Am I correct in saying that many soldiers who served in Korea never received their service medals?
If so, can they still be applied for?

Hi TonyS. If medals have not been claimed the next of kin can claim them.
Have a look at this site.

	Hello all,
I've spent a great deal of time researching the 1/6th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment from January 1917 - March 1917 during their time in the line in Biaches. My great grandfather Henry Nichols was killed in action during this period however my focus has begun to turn to his home life in Earlsdon from his birth in January 1886 to his move to Brinklow in around late 1910 or even later. Henry was born at lived at 98 Westwood Road and was baptised at St Thomas, Earlsdon on 12th September 1886. At some point between 1905 - 1910 Henry Nichols played the cornet in The Coventry City Salvation Army Band before being married in 1910 at St Thomas Coventry. Unfortunately his medals were lost and there is nothing remaining of Henry's posessions apart from a photograph.
I am interested in finding out any more about this period in time in Coventry and meeting any relatives of individuals who served with The Warwickshire Regiment during this period.
