Could someone tell me where Stanley Street (33) was in 1909, please. I assumed it was in the eastern part of the city as the person living there worked at the Binley pit, but I cannot find the street!!!!

On the 1911 census it is classed as Great Heath

Definitely STREET. If in Great Heath, any ideas of just where? There is no reference in the modern maps so I assume it has been totally demolished?

If you look on the topic under "Highfield Street" Rob has put a map on which shows Stanley Street, Highfield Street was the next street on the census. Stanley Street is renamed as St Elisabeth's Road

My enquiry was for a bit of research about one of the soldiers in WW1 who was killed. He was a member of Godiva Harriers and quite a good runner.

My mother lived at 14 Stanley Street about 1912. I have a postcard sent to her at this address.
