I know we have had a very similar view to this one before, but Paul Reynolds on FB gave me permission to share this one which his dad took. Had to add as it’s in colour and some great detail is brought to life. Where would this have been taken from?

My Nana, Mary Elizabeth Kendall, was required to do 'war work', so found a job as a filing clerk at The Towers!

Welcome back, Prof. Wave That would be a very good topic for discussion. There must have been many women enrolled for 'war work' in Coventry. I had an aunt that became an ambulance driver before and after the war.

Absolutely right Dreamtime. I've some lovely stuff of women chemists at Courtaulds Including the amazing Dr Vera Furness, who I believe eventually joined the Courtaulds board as the first women on a FTSE 100 board ever.
