What a difference 24 hours can make. The song Wednesday morning I felt as though I had a bit of a tummy bug, I had forgotten about it, as it came to nothing, until Friday morning, after I had eaten normal breaky, I don't know what happened. The next thing that I was aware of were loads of folk in our lounge including three ambulance crew & my daughter in law who just happened to have the day off work. How many times or for how long I haven't a clue, but I had obviously been unconscious, certainly dizzy as I couldn't get out of my chair. The analysis showed that my BP had gone through the roof. Stress & some virus infections can do that. What a difference a day makes. I'm feeling ok now, hence telling you on here, but I've been ordered off all duties until my next examination on Monday evening. No church, today or a funeral that I was booked to play for on Monday, yet I feel ok just now. I'm up, bathed & ready to be picked up ordinarily, but all on stop. No one is coming. I have got a forthcoming family event which is causing some concern, but otherwise I don't know why I'm stressed. I'm hoping that it's the virus. Love to you all.

Thank you, so am I. It was all quite frightening. The virus might still be in me, may take a while to clear, but I hope it doesn't spike me again like it did on Friday.

Hi & thank you Anne, I'm not very brave when it comes to being ill or poorly. For most of us it's a matter of fact that at some point we will be. It's good that we have our forum, even more so for me where I'm not used to ever living in my own. As long as we are honest with what we share.

Very glad that you're feeling better Philip. At times of high stress our bodies lie to us, keeping symptoms suppressed. When pressure eases or when things can't be ignored anymore, everything rushes back and we fall apart physically. You've been under some of the worst pressures there are. Hopefully this is a one off but it's a warning to concentrate on you for a bit. A warning to all of us - bugs like colds, flu and the norovirus might come back with a bump after we've been mostly free of those diseases for a year and a half. Due to the long pause these bugs might not wait for winter to start spreading.

Hi Helen, I'm 70/30 that it is a virus. I have got concerns, but I honestly don't think they have kicked this off for me this week. Dr. Klein will have a professional response tomorrow, hopefully. Keep well yourself, please.

Sorry, Philip, I didn't mean to suggest anything worse, just that you might be more vulnerable to viruses because of how many things have come at once. My family has had a theory that we often used to get colds whenever we had time off work, due to working so hard to clear the decks beforehand we were exhausted.

Philip, hope you recover your equanimity quickly. I find these health hiccoughs occur periodically with advancing age. Helen, I support your family theory that illnesses occur during off time. When working 6

Hi & thank you both, I hope you're right Helen. I do hope that it is a viral infection, as that is the least difficult to treat. You never need to say sorry. I know what you mean. I'm a tad better than I was earlier today, but not quite as good yesterday.

Good morning Philip, Please forgive me, I am only just catching up with you all after a few days with that feeling 'a bit off', and reading your posts, was sorry to see your were not your usual self. Stress can work in many ways and my doc said that this past year is catching up with all of us in different ways. I am a bit of a worrier and often think 'now what would my husband do?'. For me, that's the key and when my daughter calls in, everything seems to be bright again. Then as soon as I hear my son over the phone - well, what a blessing to have a family to make us feel good again and tackle whatever the days may bring. By this time, I hope you are feeling on your way to 100% and show us what is on the menu. Take care and listen to all the good advice. Wave

Hi Dreamtime, So sorry that you have not been well. It was the spike with my BP, that set the alarm bells ringing. If I was always feeling as I am now, there would be no issue, but even this morning I was very dizzy & wishy washy. My neighbour had a virus a week ago that fetched her right down, so there appears to be a bug going around. Please keep safe yourself. God bless.

Hi all, I'm feeling so refreshed & well. So much so, if I hadn't a vision issue, I would be down the bus garage applying for £450pw bus job! "Sorry sir, too old & clapped out". I thought he was talking about the bus. I hope everyone else feels as well as I do.

Hi all, I'm so upbeat, even with the sadness issues around the world as well as closer to home. How our forum sharing is a help is just so far reaching. I'm saddened by the contamination of our groundwater from the burnt out warehouse locally, so many dead fish, the toxins of which may get into our birds, wild fowl & so on. Not a pretty sight. Please copy any of my posts to a relevant topic if that helps.

Sorry about the fishes and birds Sad But glad to hear that you're feeling positive despite everything. So what goodies have you been whipping up in the kitchen, or what are you planning? I've ordered a lot of stuff lately but food isn't one of them. I'm a bit bored of my routine at the moment. I need to go out for some variety. Have you heard about the possible pigs in blankets shortage? I'm not worried as I roll my own. Lol
