29th Apr 1967 Coventry City get a record Highfield Road attendance of 51,455 (unofficially, probably a lot higher) as they beat Wolves 3-1 on their way to becoming Division Two champions - an achievement not clinched until two weeks later.
On 29th Apr 2018 10:48am, MisterD-Di said: Both teams were already assured of promotion and only the title remained unresolved. Even after losing at City, Wolves looked favourites with two games still to play. City drew their penultimate game at Ipswich, while Wolves beat Norwich to have a point advantage going into the last game. City duly beat Millwall on the last day, 13th May, while Wolves lost at Crystal Palace to give City the title by a single point.

4th May 1385 King Richard II gave Coventry the right to continue building the city wall on condition that it enclosed Cheylesmore Manor House. 4th May 1529 Ford's Hospital founded by William Pisford. (Can't think why he changed his name! Wink )
On 4th May 2018 11:04am, Annewiggy said: According to several articles in various Tamworth Heralds Rob, William Ford and William Pisford were different people. William Ford was a Merchant stapler. In his will dated 1509 he endowed what was to be known as Ford's hospital. William Pisford was his friend and executor who added to the charity and as you say it was founded in 1529.
