So our wonderful owners are now in the process of suing the Alan Edward Higgs children's charity. Are there no depths they will not descend to - an utter disgrace to human kind. Apologies if my post offends anybody - but I am justifiably livid.

Although they do support child welfare as part of their objectives, I'm not sure it's entirely fair to call them a children's charity, as their charitable purposes go much further However, I do agree the matter is a disgrace, and once again SISU are at the centre of it

I'm far from expert on the goings on at CCFC and nor am I a proper fan, although I like to hear when they've won. I have heard it said that the fans won't travel to any other location than the Ricoh, something I don't agree with. The same was said when the club left Highfield Road. So wherever it ends up the fans will travel providing it's within a sensible distance, say 5 miles, from the city centre. Most of the trouble has been brought about by big business and politics getting involved in what they don't understand. Football is entertainment for the masses and it doesn't matter what you think you are i.e. upper class, lower class or something in between, it's there for all of us. It seems to me that the battle is on three fronts, Those who only want to make money, those who only want to flex their political muscles and those who have a genuine love of football. I know who I'm with and it's not those who are throwing their weight around or the money mongers. The way it's going we'll finish up with no club at all, which for the tenth biggest city in the country just isn't good enough. Football should be left to football. If we need an example of what should happen we only have to look a little north to Nuneaton and follow the example set by Ian Neale, and hand the reins to someone who can do more for their club.

I have supported CCFC since 1946, The clue is in the name Coventry City FC - all home games must be played within the city boundaries. This excludes places like Exhall, Ryton & Baginton because these are all outside the city. The Council are partly to blame for the ludicrous position the club is facing at present, but the majority of blame lies with the owners who by their own admission know nothing about football. This lack of knowledge also extends to their utter disregard for the fan base - the life blood of the club.

Great protest tonight at the Emirates, and good to see some football community coming together with the Gunners fans joining in.

Must admit I was pleasantly surprised how it was handled on TV (although they could hardly ignore it) they gave good coverage to the issue. Shame about the fan on the pitch (although TV didn't show it) although I suppose there is always one idiot! Roll eyes On the whole I thought we did the best we could, and the final score didn't quite tell the story of what might have been had Leon taken a couple of the few chances he had.

After being sacked by Leeds Utd's prospective new owner Massimo Cellino (who has owned Cagliari for 20 years), only to be re-instated by the existent incumbent after demonstrations by the fans, Brian McDermott issued a statement yesterday which included the following text... "The fans are a class act - it's their football club, it doesn't belong to anyone but them. Whoever takes this club on has to have them first and foremost in their minds. Nothing else matters." Wouldn't it be nice if all new potential owners had to sign up to the same values? Thumbs up

I was wondering who can sue, as it's quite clear that the decisions of Otium are costing the club dearly in terms of revenue, and it was always clear this would be the case. Even a new stadium build (yeah right....and that's gone quiet again hasn't it?) has absolutely no financial sense behind it in comparison to the terms offered by ACL. These are not decisions being made using sound business practice, logic or sense, and the owners should be held accountable for such poor decision making. I keep hearing people say "they're the owners and nothing can be done about it". Well look at the academy. Otium are currently in dispute with Higgs over reimbursement of expenses and moved the academy out of the Higgs Centre after refusing to pay (legally obligated) bills. The league told them to move into somewhere with indoor facilities or lose their academy status. Result - with nowhere else available the bill was paid, academy back in the Higgs Centre. So why can't they do the same for the first team? State they either have to play in Coventry or lose their league status. There is nowhere else for them to go and they would be forced into the most pathetic climbdown. What else would they do? Refuse to return and get kicked out? They couldn't blame the council/ACL for that

I was saddened to hear of the passing of former Sky Blue centre-forward Tony Hateley on 1 February at the age of 72 He was a prolific goalscorer with a career total of over 250 goals, but his spell with CCFC in the 68-69 season was short and not very productive Amongst his other clubs was Liverpool, and LFC-TV repeated one of their "60 minutes with . . . . . ." programmes as a tribute to Hateley, in which, when asked who was the toughest defender he came up against, he answered without hesitation "George Curtis" Tony was never capped by England despite his goals, but his son Mark won 32 caps in a glittering career which started at Highfield Road in 1978 Mark's son Tom also became a professional footballer RIP, big fella!

A bit of a coup for City at the time, signing a big name player. It sent a message that our club had aspirations to be counted with the big clubs. I live in the North West and it was noticeable that our local TV channels, when reporting on Hateley's demise, listed his clubs as Notts County, Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, Birmingham and so on. As usual, no mention of Coventry. The BBC ceefax site did the same. Tony always found it difficult to fit into sides because he relied on high balls and long balls, he lacked actual ball skills. Tommy Doc once said that Tony's ball passing was so inaccurate that it went to "whomever it may concern". His legacy to Coventry was, of course, his lad. RIP Tony.
