Hi & thank you all Wave , It's lovely celebrating my seventeenth birthday. I can learn to drive soon! Cheers My treat this morning was a 1940s breakfast in Atherstone, then on to see a T9, working along the "Battlefield Line". My son Michael (right) & friend John in the picture.

Evening all Wave I love my care-home, complete with its own "outdoor", as I enjoy my Timothy Taylor. Cheers everyone & thank you for my birthday wishes. It's rapidly cooling down now so I have moved into the "indoor" Wendy house. Wave Cheers

Hi all Wave I like so many, am so saddened by events where folk do not have a home. Overseas, London tower block families & those that we see huddled in cardboard inside shop doorways. There were five at the entrance to the now closed BHS store as I passed last Wednesday. It is rewarding when we make the best use of what we have. Pam & I have enjoyed three eras of our home & garden. Newlyweds with not a care in the world & a garden to match. The serious homeowner era, growing tomatoes, spuds & stuff along with owning the latest gizmos. Phew! Now the care-home era. Lynn & Michael hardly look like grafting gardeners in this photo, yet that is exactly what they are. What an impact they have had on our home here. Isn't it so nice, that no matter where we have been, on hols, a trip to ladies day at Ascot with high tea, or seeing the orchestrated events in our city like today, we are able to come home, where our home is our sanctuary. Thank you Lynn & Michael. The hide-away. The house in view there is our neighbours, not ours. You have to get past the "wood" to see our home. A flashback to ten years ago. Very tired looking.

Hi all Wave Visited UHCW (Walsgrave Hospital to most of us) x-ray at 8.30am today. All completed by 9am so treated myself to a breaky. Really nice. My free bus pass is not usable until after 9.30am at which time the x-ray unit is usually heaving, so well worth the effort of going early. "The early bird gets the worm". Could not have wished for more courteous staff, both admin and surgical. I posted the above on the hospital review facebook site. Got a bit of "gip" with my knee.

Hi all Wave More than a drop of rain is needed to put the gardeners off duty, as they installed our new Mercy-Seat in our bolt-hole hideaway.

Hi all Wave Owing to an outbreak of toadstools, my Wednesday morning bacon butty meet-up time has been brought forward to this morning, Tuesday. Wave There are even more this morning, I counted eighteen toadstools growing out of the mulch pulp. What a pip!
