I should be able to come as well. What time? Perhaps the gathering of Historic Coventry members should be Orlandos?

Helloooooo, Over the eleven years that we've been meeting up for get together breaky times, various venues have been used. Our city centre venues have included Cafe Italia, The Castle grounds, as well as The Flying Standard. Moving away from the centre, The Coundon was visited several times. Importantly, it's ease of access as much as anything that is high on consideration. An ever increasing issue that plagues folk coming from far & wide are the imposed bus gates. One of our colleagues got nabbed twice upon his last visit. The Arena is accessible by motorway. Bus Nos 3, 51, 60 & 703, enter the bus terminal, plus any buses traveling to Bedworth via Longford, pass the rear entrance. It also has it's own railway station that is inside the free West Midlands pass travel area. Hope that helps.

Unfortunately, I will not be there now, sorry. As some of you know I have a deep love of all things' trees and have been given the opportunity to visit some really old trees (500 to 1000yrs old), these trees are not in the public domain so I have jumped at this one-off chance. Please, enjoy your breakfast and don't worry I will find a sausage somewhere Big grin Derek (RobThu).

Hi Derek, if you are into trees have you been to the Warwickshire Golf and Country Club in Leek Wootton? Some of the trees there were planted mid 19th century. You can walk round the golf course.

Hellooooo, There are two very special words for this coming Saturday. "Mostly Dry", unless we are in the pub or drinking coffee at Tesco. I am hoping that an Atlantic High, that moves in during Friday, will become a blocking high & stick around for a while. For the rest of this week, we have a northerly air stream associated with a low system moving south to the east of us, where cold & showers are the theme until the weekend. Ok, on with you're whatever you are doing.

Ok Neil, Thanks for letting us know. Disappointed but relieved at the same time, I am off on travels abroad on Sunday and running out of time to get things done.
