Here's an interesting (60's?) photo from Broadgate looking across to where Derby Lane was which shows good detail and in colour of part of that tall building (Pope's Head?) mentioned earlier in this thread.

Great shot Neil. I think the give-away is the crane in the background possibly at the site of the New Cathedral under construction or possibly swimming baths, although I think in the case of the latter, a crane would be seen the other side of Holy Trinity's spire in the distance. |

Given the height of the crane it might be the Priory Hall tower?
