Congratulations Rob, it is an excellent site you have created. Hopefully all the information it is gathering will remain on the web for many years to come. Doesn't this deserve to be listed in "Coventry on this day"?

Rob's probably too modest to agree to do that - I had him listed amongst our "Famous Coventrians" - but his name somehow disappeared

Just want to wish Historic Coventry another Happy Birthday and thank Rob and his team for all they are doing for us.

I agree wholeheartedly Dreamtime. Happy Birthday to the Historic Coventry site and Thank you to Rob for a marvellous set up. Thank you also to the many contributors and moderators. Amazing to see how it's developed into such a resource of information, memories and opinions. Congratulations.

You lot are bloomin' great you know!!! I never even remember my own "birthday", so thank you for reminding me, and a huge thank you too, not only for the kind words, but for making this site what it is.

Another great year for the HC Forum. Thank you all for your company, here's to the next one, and a big thank you to the Boss.

Thank you, too, Dreamtime - I'd forgotten the date! Oh, and your location on t'other side of the planet means that while I'm writing this post, it's already the 24th for you! I must also thank our wonderful members for keeping the forum alive, and still filling in the gaps in our local history - and a special mention for Midland Red for such sterling work keeping it tidy and in such good order.

Rob, I think I have learned more of our historical interests on this Forum than I ever did at school and often wish I had been born a little later so as to get a grip with today's modern technology. However, thanks to you, your team and also I like to think - in my case - 'cyber friends', it's a most enjoyable exercise learning something new every day. Keep up the good work and whilst I am on here, I am up and at it on this lovely cold but sunny day, why aren't you!!!!

I can't go by without saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY HCF, not sure how many years but Rob would know. Hope there will be many more to come.

I want to thank you for having this great idea and bringing it to the rest of us, especially those no longer living in the Coventry area. I've laughed and cried at some of the things I've read and seen on the Forum and almost every day holds a surprise. I appreciate my city for its history and the way it works hard to be both relevant and beautiful. I've missed two trips home because of Covid but hope to make back before the end of the year. Thank you again.
