Hi Sir, I can't give identities away, but to tell he is a remarkable little lad. He examines everything. He's the sort of child to strip down a clockwork bedside clock for amusement. He might not get the thing to cluck again, but he will have fun with the bits. Once I know he won't swallow them, he's in line for a construction kit at first opportunity. Thank you so much for your post. Brill!

Hello, Do you remember events by association or by date. On April 8th, 1967, my mum & dad hosted a party in their home in Sewall Highway, to celebrate Pam & my engagement. It was the day when singer Sandy Shaw hit the right notes in the Eurovision contest. Pam & I had pledged ourselves to each other the previous September, when we started saving for a house deposit, but that was our secret. After Cliff's cheated result, I never paid much attention to the contest since. Often shrouded in controversy. It was the first occasion where Pam's family had ever visited our home in Wyken. Thought I would share that memory, as the contest once again is shrouded in controversy.

I remember events quite well but dates and names not at all. In one exam I had trouble remembering mine. Roll eyes

Euro is May nowadays, whereas it was early April in 1967. My memory of family & social events, tends to work by association, whereas work was the tax year syndrome.

Is eurovision a contest? I thought the result was negotiated before the contest began.

It is quite political but the quality of song and act do seem to matter too. The truth is we've had a lot of duds over the years.

Apparently I am rather good at remembering birthdays and family events. My dad use to call me Lesley Welsh (sorry if mis-spelt). I always buy birthday cards well in advance and often send them too soon. But then my calendar is full of events and dates. Happy I wonder how many of us know if we may share our birthdays with some famous person or other ! Mine is Empire Day, also Queen Victoria's birthday. My son shared his with the late Queen Elizabeth. Can any other member of the forum match themselves up with any celebs ? For all you know you may be sharing your birthdate with Lady Godiva !!!! Oh my

Dreamtime, it's not nice to laugh at other peoples misfortunes! Its not my fault that I don't share a birth date with someone like Donald Trump or Napoleon Bonaparte.

Argon, Napoleon Bonaparte's birthday is on 15th August 1769, in case it's coincidental. I won't mention Trump's !

I looked up my birthday and I was going to write that only a lesser known king Henry shared mine but the Henry turned out to be very significant to Coventry and St Mary's Hall. Like his grandfather he made Coventry the capital of England for a while. He was also partly responsible for the War of the Roses, so very much a matter of swings and roundabouts. Oh my
