Hi Helen, You might be having a few sprinkles of rain, Helen. I am just home from a dental appointment. Celebrating my wedding anniversary. My next appointment is booked for my birthday. No peeping please.

This time last year, I was in intensive care, so poorly, but a year on I've never felt better. So to cheer my lovely friend up from being scammed, whilst I'm waiting for a late evening cod & chips to arrive, a picture says a thousand words. That is now favourite ale.

Thank you Philip, I am putting the scamming out of my mind, I can't do anything about it ! I have a happy husband who with our son has finished changing the wiring loom in the 1994 Merc he bought a couple of months ago and it started first time, and we are having a family lunch tomorrow to celebrate our granddaughter's 18th, so it is all good. Enjoy the fish and chips

Hi all, Whilst wanting to wish all of our friends & members a wonderful time this festive season, I want to share the remarkable events that have directly affected me over the last fourteen months. Last October, became dreadfully poorly. Three days of intensive care, then convalescence in a friends home. Today, I feel the best that I have for possibly two decades. My vision issues that brought about my early retirement & stopped my driving, (A damaged optical nerve), that was stated as incurable, by a team of top surgeons, I can't believe how well I'm seeing. I forgot my specs on Thursday evening, when playing out, but was able to read the music easily. I haven't been able to properly read music for 23 years. I'm not going to blow a fuse by being stupid, taking one day at a time. Love to you all.

Wonderful news about your vastly improved eyesight especially in connection with your musical ability.

Hi all, Whilst I'm feeling so well in myself at present, my puss has been to visit the vet today. She's an aging animal, 18+, too old to withstand anaesthetic, so we are reliant on antibiotics to treat a possible abscess that's putting pressure on the inside of her left eye. She's not showing distress, eating preening & doing her other essentials. She's even coping well after loads of poking, injections & unfamiliar surroundings. Sally the vet, made a lovely comment about her total trust in what we were doing, as she was gripping my hand with her paws, just holding me so tenderly but tight. Animals don't ask for much! A bit of food, warmth & security. We should know what's what in a fortnight.

Hi Helen, Pam has never been without a cat since 1978. Never bought a cat, they've just wandered in, two at a time twice. All been nice natured, but Puss here, fast asleep as I'm typing this, is a totally new experience of an animal. She's territorial, which is what might have cause an injury to bring about an infected tissue. So she's never been a pushover. Just part of us here. Thank you for your lovely comment, Helen.

After reading the Washington Post this morning I was feeling quite depressed. Then I opened this posting and felt so much better. Thank you so much for the uplifting photo.

That's a charming picture, who's the little lad? Is he a quick learner? Good luck with your Puss, I hope her health continues to improve.
