Hi all, My true enjoyment of our model railway is because it's part of the community. A model without the community just doesn't sit right with me. All of the lovely posts regards the local school All Saints School, Vecqueray Street, we have Bishops Heath First School here. I do hope you like.

I dunno, there looks like there's a detail that I'm not sure is realistic. Wink It seems like the boy and girl are holding hands and from my experience little boys would rather have thumb screws inflicted on them than get that close. Lol

Now then, now then, When I was at Miss Dixon's infants school off Wyken Grange Road, no matter the gender, we had to enter the school two by two, holding hands. At the school, the girls lined up behind each other, as did the boys. The shortest at the front. So I held hands with Irene Clements. She lived in Torcross Avenue. My mum knew her mum, as she used to come into mum's shop.

I only ever travelled on West Midlands buses. The 20 and the 20A were my regulars.

Your attention to detail is masterful. It's a pity they didn't do that when they diverted the B4113 traffic along Wilson's Lane and a bus lost its roof (no injuries I believe) on the railway bridge.

There are a few odd items turning up at Hall Brooks, Helen. None bought for years. Wait until you see more class 37 & a 67!

Hi all, I keep falling in love with our forum ladies. I've learnt that one of our ladies visited Whiston, so here is a picture of the full size loco in action.

Hi all, I was on my own last evening, but I so enjoyed my time in the railway room. I've acquired some more model railway stuff, & the storage drawers, making it all quite enjoyable. A lot of tidying going on, no more music stuff in there at present, my organ & piano now in the lounge. It's becoming a craft room, not that far removed from when Pam enjoyed using the room for her stitch-craft activities. Hobby room or craft room, it's certainly looking a bit more habitable. You can only imagine the upheaval of accommodating a full size hospital bed, two additional tall fridges, nurses cabinets & tables to see what I'm still recovering from. Having said that, I wouldn't have had it any different. Maybe that's what helps me cope with now & the future. Sometimes, we only get one opportunity to do something right. Happy Saturday everyone.

You did your very best, Philip and it was the best. Nobody doubts it for a moment. I'm glad that you're feeling up to the overhaul. Your railway is looking very up to date... for the date it's meant to be. I often think that hobbies have an unappreciated healing property. There is a lot of satisfaction to be had from learning and creating.

Helen, I think Philip is certainly a 'master of his craft'. I can't believe his railway and surrounds look so real. I keep expecting to see one of the models to start moving any moment. Double thumbs up for you, Philip.

A tidy railway room, Dreamtime. Even if the trains look odd! It gets even worse! I think it's time for some soothing music.
