It's been on YouTube for some time but The Coventry Society have just reshared this interesting short film on Ron and the Museum. I presume the family kept the collection.

I know what you mean. I have never been a fan of early toys. Apparently I was very young when I expressed my disappointment with the domestic arrangements of Punch and Judy. Finding them ugly inside and out. I wasn't a fan of circuses either. I thought the high wire act was dangerous and the clowns were professional bullies.... OMG I was a pre-Millennial Millennial. Oh my Lol

Neil, not all the toys were owned by Ron, many had been lent to him including by a couple of people I worked with. After he died and it became obvious that the museum would close they asked for them back, however it seems a large part of the collection had already been sold off by the family. I know that at one time legal action was being considered but not followed (too expensive)

I thought this one had been posted before but I couldn't see it. Worth another go though as its great to include Ron Morgan who ran the Toy Museum. Ignore the date on it as I believe Ron sadly passed away in 2007.
