Cherry Street

Can anyone provide a location for Cherry Street, Coventry?

Right in't middle of this little bit of map from 1937....

Yes, today it’s more or less right on the Radford Road, down to where it meets the Ring Road at Ringway St Nicholas. I've marked it in red here on the BFA image from 1937.

Hi Fred Dean Nelson has just posted this one on FB. I think this is Cherry Street. I don't have Heathite's directories to hand, if anyone can confirm with a lookup on Dee-Ray Tools! Btw, think I saw you in Beer Gonzo in Earlsdon the other week!

No, Neil, it's Stephen Street, which was parallel to Cherry Street. Thanks to 1963 Telephone Directory.

Any photographs that have this 'look' are from the city architects and planning department collection I've added about 800 there, which is less than 10% of what's been scanned. There's plenty of repetition however!
