Coventry Citizens Advice Bureau lost buildings

Coventry Citizens Advice Bureau celebrates 75 years in the city this year, and we are researching our history. We've occupied 14 bulidings in the city centre in that time. Seven of these are still standing, including our current home, Kirby House in Little Park Street. We're finding it hard to find photos of some of the homes we have lost, I'd appreciate any help! Barbican Chambers 33a Earl Street (we lost this home in the November 1940 blitz) 2 Landsdowne Terrace, Warwick Road and 45 Warwick Road (both demolished in the 60s for the ring road near the station) Fleet House, Corporation Street (demolished to make way for the lower precinct car park) Thanks in advance for any clues!

The one I know anything about is 33 Earl Street. There are no good photos of it that I know of and it's a stretch of the city with almost no images at all. It was next door to an interesting 3 storey jetted building (34) and it hides number 33 in most of the fuzzy photos. You can just about see 34 in the background of this photo. So if you can find a good picture of 34 then you might see 33. There is a poor view of it in Britain from above 33 is just to the right of the Council House clock tower. It's the fifth from the bottom right. There is a Bunney water colour of 34 that shows the right hand side of 33 (not very informative). I could dig out the reference for it but it belongs to the Herbert so I can't just put up a copy. If you do find any images of this part of Earl Street I'd love to see them. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I think 33a was actually a building behind 33, I've seen the Bunney water colour, so the access was though a passage to a yard behind. I think Barbican chambers was an office building in front of a factory. Just to the right of your Britain from the Air picture is a tall, three storey building with either a dormer window or a roof decoration, I think that's it!
