I love a bit of old roof Thumbs up The left hand roof belongs to the Dun Cow and the picture matches up nicely with this one.

Looking at the Art Gallery image, the bit that is now the cafe doesnt appear to be enclosed. Was it ever open to walk through or is the glazier late?!

Here's an interesting shot as the old row that remained to the SE end of Jordan Well (to include the Dun Cow) has already gone, however, it's before construction had started on the Richard Crossman building so I'm guessing circa 1970 -

Googling says the Crossman building went up in '71 Helen though it does look a bit later...

Where the flattened ground is, is where the Alpha restaurant used to be. A nissen hut building. Pam & my last visit there was 1967, I think.
