Looking through Arthur Cooper's gallery and came across this interesting one of temporary shops and new buildings together, although I can't quite place where it is. Smithford Way, perhaps but don't recognise the tower attached to the buildings behind the temporary shops.

Apparently this is a Christmas card sent to residents of Coventry by the City Council in 1946 to advertise plans for the new precinct -

What the council didn't admit was that the old buildings on the left were demolished by the council before the war. |
