My dad, Bill Stote, is at the back, second from the right, on the photo of Allesley bellringers. Several others in the picture are familiar faces from my childhood. |

I live just behind the Brooklands now, so The Wedge is a regular spot for us and the dogs. I've also seen the kingfisher by the pools Phillip, and so the family must have settled in the area. |

Paybody hospital cottage, Allesley Village
Hello my name is Jim Cross, unfortunately I cannot remember the friend who lived in that Paybody cottage but if he is still around he may remember me, I spent many happy hours playing in the house and in the fields surrounding the hospital, I lived in Allesley village (65 Barnfield ave) for most of my life moving away to Fillongley many years ago, I now live in Cyprus and have done for the last 14 years or so, sad to see the cottage has gone and for the life of me I wish I could remember the sons name of the cottage Paybody caretakers who are mentioned above, it used to be an eye hospital before the hotel came along, both his son and I went to Barkers Butts School also now demolished, finally I worked for Massey Ferguson (heat treatment) for 34 years before leaving early to come to Cyprus at 54 years of age, I really miss Allesley village and the Rainbow, happy times for me and my family.....
