Hi Heathite. Do you have trees near you? It could be a willow warbler, it certainly looks like one of the warbler family.

Hello and thank you for the suggestion. There are many trees in the area, and not far from water either (Wyken slough). I'll look into it further. Thumbs up I've had a look and I think it could be a garden warbler. Wink

Much as I love to watch this female Sparrow Hawk it grieves me to be losing my small bird population, but as the saying goes, Nature is red in tooth and claw.

We've recently started to get visits from a large crow, who we've named "the upstart"! He's a clever so-n-so, who finds pieces of crusty bread, then dunks them in our bird-bath to soften them before eating. They're not daft these birds!
