I've used your camera map many times while trying to work out what picture fits where. Then try to link information to locations too, either by finding a link or by writing something new. Then create walks that start at a place of interest or somewhere easy to find (eg Ford's Hospital or end of a road) and finish a reasonable distance/time later, preferably at something worth visiting (eg Herbert Art Gallery). Once you've got some decent walks ...... Themed walks could be:- Blitz. Medieval Coventry. History of cars/transport. Textiles. Religion. Schools. Guilds. Pub trails Wink
Not quite the ultimate solution to a themed walk (!) ...... but .... as part of the Coventry's National Heritage Weekend I am mounting a display on 'The History of Coventry Godiva Harriers and other clubs in the city during the last 140 years'. I have devised a one and a half mile 'Godiva Trail' which takes in part of the Spon End area which played a significant part in the Godiva Harriers development. The trail is detailed in the display and there is a give away leaflet.

For those of you who are interested in Coventry's history, there is a great website called Medieval Coventry, where you can download a walk around the Council House and Cathedral area. The knowledge of Coventry is amazing with dialogue throughout. It certainly taught me things I didn't know about Coventry and I've lived here over 65 years. Give it a try, you can download it to your phone if you do the walk, at every stage you will learn about that part of Coventry, or you can download it to your computer and do the tour from your home. There are plenty of other things of interest on the webpage.
