Correct me if I am wrong. Wasn't Chain Gardens so called because Coventry Chain was situated at the other end of Four Pounds Avenue?

Named after the Renold Chain Co. which was situated virtually behind the Black Horse PH adjacent to the Spon End Arches. The social club, which has been mentioned previously in threads, was also below the railway arches prior to the path start with entrance to the allotments on the left and the fence of the Alvis Co. on the right if that makes sense. The River Sherbourne ran under a culvert at the start of the path as I recall flowing next to the allotments and then behind the shops at Spon End after the railway arches.
