How many takers for breaky and how many to visit Ben? If I'm there, I'm up for both. |

Me too, both "events" for me!
Even though we use the Flying Standard a lot, it's still very useful because they're so tolerant to us rearranging their tables to suit however many turn up. But if anyone knows a better place, I don't mind where, so long as they have decent sausages and bacon! |

Hi all
Yes, I'll come for breakfast. We can stroll to my office on Parkside thereafter. We shall have to 4pm to mess about with equipment and old negs.

Goodness Rob,
You make it sound worth for me to fly back to the old country for. I don't suppose Farmer Giles is still 'fine dining' in the Burges? |

I've just come back from Cumbria... the sausages and bacon were out of this world. I brought some back with me. |

Great stuff Ben - really looking forward to that. In that case unless anyone objects shall we stick to The Flying Standard so its not too far to walk? Or can anyone recommend anything else/nearer? |

The Earl of Mercia is another Wetherspoons and is closer. I believe that Philip has done a test run for us? |

The Earl of Mercia is a decent place in a handy location, but all the tables, which seat 4 each, are set in a line, back to back, and are not moveable as far as I know, unfortunately.... unless anyone knows differently? |

Argh, just checked the Golden Cross - they don't do breakies. Neither does Alfred's Cafe in The Herbert. I can't think of anywhere else between Broadgate and Parkside that does which will accommodate us all. |

I know I can't make this one, but I found our breakfasts in Cafe Italia in Trinity Street were excellent - see post #2 of this thread. Their scrambled egg was particularly good |
