Hi all, I've got the hang of frying sausage. Two of us sat for a Cumberland sausage & veg dinner today. Yummy. We are both still alive. I put a lid onto the frying pan, once the sausage was browned, so it simmered beautifully whilst the veg was cooking. I'm a two pan man now! I will do the curry sauce on battered cod tomorrow, whilst on my own for practice, before stitching it onto anyone else. So Saturday is fish day, for a change this week. I'm so enjoying this. Thank you Pam. Tattybye.

You're a clever boy. Gold star. Thumbs up I tend to do sausages and fish in the oven. Yummmm. So long as I don't forget slow cooked stuff, it looks after itself while I do other things.

It's all such a learning curve Helen. It's one thing to prepare myself like in the past where Pam has gone away on holiday or work & I pretend to be Greg Wallace for a couple of days, knowing that she will be back to sort me out. Surprise, surprise, I'm actually enjoying it. Armchair shopping choosing my grocery, hardly a day that I don't amend the order, but no big cockups yet. Anyway, good night to you & all.

Big cockups need to be slow roasted in the oven with stuffing and smoky bacon. Wink

Hi all, I'm hoping to resume full duties from this coming Wednesday, the 1st July. Forum & everywhere else. I can't say back to normal, as my normal is a new normal. Pam's teddies don't answer back, they never cuddle me, they just sit there. That's my task to overcome. Visitors coming or me visiting is so enjoyable & much appreciated, but I'm on my own, well nearly. Puss talks to me & I have a cuddle with her. She's hopeless at cookery!

Hi all, All done & will be dusted tomorrow. Back to being an out of work accountant. That's about the only thing that is "normal". Love to you all. I don't consider June as a bad month. The joy of knowing peace that passes all understanding, is what I have. Also, my ICWA letters are not just letters. They have worked well a decade following on from my official retirement. Who could ask for anymore! CARRY ON COVENTRY. CARRY ON COVENTRY

You're a champ. I spend most of January putting off my accounts and being a grump because I still have to do them.

Oh my.... I like fish, and I like curry..... but ne'er the twain shall meet! Or am I missing something special that just needs to be tried to be believed?

Oh yes, Rob. Ask our colleague MR, who introduced me to such at Crewe. We went all the way there for just fish & chips with curry sauce. That was a better spot for me than any old steama.

Hi all, A variation on a theme. I so enjoyed my cod & chips with curry sauce on Sunday, my taste buds were budding for the same chunky battered cod, but with veg & curry sauce. Well, honest, it was jgtciytciytckhgvjytxhtrxhcjgfy beautiful. Our local corner shop lady does pre-ordered Asian food, that is beautiful to take home. She asks whether we want the food cooked as a curry, or the sauce added. I like the taste of the fish & the veg, so biting into one of those pearl potatoes with the fresh taste inside, but the curry on the outside, is divine. I had a work colleague of Asian origin, who preferred fresh veg that way. I don't think that I am going to starve, hey. Please post comments about what I am doing. I'm learning. I never had cookery / domestic science at school, I never had a dolly either. I had Fido!
