Morning all Wave I am so enjoying being the fulltime butler in our care home. Maybe I need a butler's uniform, "Yes m'lady" kind of thing. At some point I may need a nanny uniform too. Pam sees the amusing side of this too. My mind is full of stories from the past, but I will spare you all of that for now, "m'lord". Me being restricted to indoors isn't so bad. We still have outdoor duties, the car service next week and even a bit of installation work in our bathroom too. We have that all covered as best as we can. I'm not in the mood for entertainment, Pam still watches Countdown and yesterday evening she watched Children in Need. Once or twice I have enjoyed a tinkle on the "Odeon", but what I have enjoyed so much is our railway. It functions so reliably. Am not on about a five hour marathon running session, no, just to walk into the room, put the power on and move the sequence on for ten minutes or so. So many of you are on our railway, that I actually feel connected with you. That is so nice. Last evening I did just that. Had a chat with Jan & Pat, our friend Rose, Anne, a group of ladies in the park, as well as Tony, Rob & MR, just as though you are real, not 00 gauge figurines. Whilst I was in my little dream world, Pam wandered into the room, sat and enjoyed a few minutes watching before bedtime. She even stood in for the signalman (sorry, person these days) at Longford whilst a bit of shunting was going on. Thank you all for your kindnesses. Wave

I was going to suggest you might briefly need to take over matron duties, complete with outfit but I thought I'd deserve a clip round the ear for being cheeky. Big grin So glad you can both enjoy getting out, even when you can't. Your railway is terrific.

Hi all Wave A cautionary note. Pam loves having visitors, but can I ask that anyone who wants to visit her, that you/they are free from any infections, or symptoms. The worst thing for Pam just now is for her to pickup a secondary infection, like cough or cold. Thank you so much.

Hi all Wave UPDATE ON PAM. Pam's chemo treatment starts tomorrow in the Arden Centre at UHCW. The prognosis remains dreadful, but we are both in good spirits, uplifted by the warmth of love and friendships. Thank you to all on our forum team, members and friends. Your cordial warmth is sweet. Love from us both.

Hi all and thank you so much. Pam did start her chemo treatment yesterday, but early days to see any results. She remains very poorly, but is in very good spirits. As I keep saying, we are so uplifted by the warmth shown. Brill in fact.

A Pam update. Pam was taken to UHCW on Wednesday as an emergency admission. The hospital team are making her as comfortable as possible, whilst they decide on whatever. That is about it, whatever. Pam, like I remain in good spirits, even though we are both taking quite a pounding. Thanks to you all for your prayers, comfort and warmth.
