Hi Wave I have put a pic up on my gallery showing the neck of the fiddle-yard, where I have replaced a piece of track-work today. The houses & Mill Lane are removed showing the box section construction. Wave

Thanks for the update Philip Cheers That's a very interesting use of a removable section, I wouldn't have guessed it was there at all but for your picture. It was also very far-sighted of you to plan for its possible removal so many years ago. Smile

Yes thanks Philip Thumbs up I hadn't come across that problem with the Bachmann 47 before. Was it limited just to your example or was it generic?

Hi Duchmann Wave The loco comes complete with an imitation screwlink coupling at the front. Part of the problem was my eyesight as Bachmann could not find the cause at first. When we insert the actual coupling, the look-a-like hook must be removed & I had not seen that either. Thank you for the question. The nature of our end to end railway means that locos on our railway have to work in both directions. We don't mind the odd light engine movement but the likes of a jube working tender first would make it look like a preserved railway. Hope you are keeping warm. Wave

I have a problem seeing the detail on 4mm scale models too these days Philip and have seriously considered moving to 7mm although that won't be any time soon.

I always have trouble adding images, so heres another go. When your eyes really get bad try Bachmann large scale on 45 mm track, same as LBG. This years Christmas present, geared Shay, American logging engine.

Very nice Heritage Thumbs up but I prefer standard gauge local subjects from a particular period in time Wink

I posted it previously in the Alvis cars thread: Alvis car factory, Holyhead Road. Hi again Wave I have another request, but just to explain. I love having stuff on our railway that others avoid as being too technical like my corridor connections, or just that I want our railway to be Coventry through & through. I hope to try & print off the pic (even black & white) from my photo edit and paste & varnish onto a piece of Balsa & put on our over-bridge here. When I complete the new extention, there will be another over-bridge so (here goes) is there another pick of the same bridge in the sixties or seventies for me to do the same to that also? I have trolled through various sites but can't find anything. Wave The thing about the Alvis is that it was so Coventry. Unlike the Ferodo bridge on the London Rd, where Ferodo were in Derby. I don't know of another railway over-bridge sign than those two in Coventry. Wave

Hi & Wave a special thank you to you Dutchman, Thumbs up for providing the photo of the original Alvis Bridge advert. I have had to put the coloured motifs either side as my over-bridge is at such an angle to the road. Hope that you like.

Hi & thank you Adrian. Wave The next is a bit OTT but I am so proud to be part of our forum here. When it is all dry, I will varnish & frame the adverts. I have put another one on my gallery.

Hi. Wave I am new to advertising as is obvious. The whole point of an advert is that it must be seen, so I have tried this to see if it grows onto me. Do please be honest about what you think. I am not sure about this.
