Hi all Wave I suppose that a typical image of retirement is like me in this pic. The thing is, that not a lot has changed, because if I was to load pre-digital era photographs of our kitchen patio area, going back over the years you could still have found me there. A bit younger looking and the bushes & trees not quite so wild would be about the only change. Wave Other responsibilities include, making sure that the grandchildren receive good nourishment. Also, making sure of plenty of midnight parties. This one was for Lucy, our then ten year old cat, who died several years ago at the grand age of eighteen. So you see there are some awesome Big grin responsibilities in retirement Cheers

My garden plots total nearly 3,500sq.ft. One length is over 190ft. I used to grow veg & stuff, but now the veg end is meadow. We hover & strim once every two weeks in the summer, so other than a bit of tuti-fluti, it is ok. I will find some old photos of our produce which included spuds, toms, peas, beans & loads more. The very end of my old veg plot is so far from our house that a new neighbour asked me "where is our house". Big grin

Hover and strim? Tuti Fluti? What are you and Pam up too? Sounds like a ballroom dance to me Oh my You do so make me laugh Philip. I think I know what you mean. Your garden and Dougies look lovely. If either of you would like a holiday here in Oz you can help us with our 3 acres! Gilly Wave

Hi Wave That might be where the tuti-fluti comes in, Gilly. It used to be my cigar & pipe smoke room. That all stopped over ten years ago. It's my escape room now, fully furnished with drinks cabinet, carpet & book case. Heated too when needed. It also becomes my 'Tardis' where I can nod off & be transported anywhere in seconds. Wave Cheers Now! Where are my galactic charts for Mars. Need to check out the new rover that has just arrived. ps. Keep an eye out as the route to Mars goes over Melbourne Big grin Oh my Smile

Mmm, methinks Philip is so spoilt Tricia, don't you think so too? I always thought 'retirement' meant finally getting jobs done round the house!!!!

Hi Midland Red, Wave Thank you, I love it. It's good that litter picking is treated seriously. The last railway litter-pick that I saw was in Edinburgh.
