What better on a rainy day in Coventry than to sit with a good novel and a cup of tea! I have started on a book by Rosie Goodwin, called 'A Band Of Steel'. Apparently the author lives in Nuneaton and works for Social Services there. This is a great story, very well written and has many references to Coventry and the surrounding areas during the war. It concerns a Jewish family who escape to Coventry from the German invasion. Wonder if any of the forum members have read any of her novels. The picture on the book cover looks as if it could be part of the Cathedral ruins, well worth a read. Thumbs up Wave

I have read most of the Rosie Goodwin novels and enjoyed all of them. It is nice to read about places you know in fiction books. Many of that era are usually set in London or Liverpool. Keep up the good work Rosie.
