Coventry Eagle

If any Coventry Eagle fans are in the mood for a decent restoration job, there's a lovely example on this online auction site. It looks pretty complete, just needs some time and TLC, I believe.

Mattchless The Coventry Eagle in my previous post was owned by my work mate at the Gas Board Peter Beaufoy, I remember him coming to work on it in the late fifties, it was a hand change. Some years later he dismantled it and put all the parts in a box where it remained until his death about 20 years ago. His Wife Christine passed it on to my friend Keith Hooper who restored it with the help of his friend. Keith passed it on to John Hackett who now runs Coventry Ducati in Kersley. John has restored many old racing motorcycles.

Gas Centre, Mine is a Silent Superb, year approximately 1936, I bought it from a dealer who imported amongst others from Michigan USA. It is a rolling chassis but engine parts are proving difficult to find so I am contemplating fitting another make of engine from the same era. Progress is intermittent as there is more than one bike in the garage.
