Anyone remember "The Boys Brigade" from the late 50's that used to meet in the Canley Community Centre in Prior Deram Walk?

Not that one, but the Harefield Rd, Stoke Boys Brigade at the Congregational Church. There is one still thriving in Tewkesbury Abbey!

There were Life Boys and Boys Brigade at Heath Road Methodist Church too. Did they not, mostly, belong to the "Free Churches" - Baptists, Methodists, Congregationalists, etc?

Yes they did Slash, which is why it was a surprise to me to find Boys' Brigade in Tewkesbury Abbey. There could also have been companies in the Established Church of Scotland.
