Hi, my name is David and attended Annie Osborn school at that time - from about 1970 till 1973. My first year teacher was I think Mrs Hoskins - and I do remember both the headteacher Mr Scrivener (very) nice man and Mr Ward deputy head who always seemed a bit scary but I did have a friend at the time whose teacher she was for the 4th year and he really liked her.
Your name sounds familiar, not sure if you taught me in the 2nd year - did you have a class pet, a Guinea pig named 'Queek'?

Likely Mrs Hopkins.
Mr Scrivener was indeed a good guy, as was Ms Ward.

Annie's was a damned good school, considering its location. Many of us did quite well from the education, largely due to teachers who actually cared about their charges. The only dud teacher I can remember was a bloke by the name of Wright, who had a chip on both shoulders and behaved like the petulant, failed sportsman he likely was.

I was at Annie Osborn 1962-1968. Very proud of the school. Had a wonderful time there.

Kim, you were there at the same time as me. Can you remember the infant teachers? I can only remember Mrs Hopkins.
