I quite liked the Woodentops.

I was a bit too young to remember the Woodentops, even though I'd have seen the repeats. Even Andy Pandy is a bit of a vague memory. There were quite a lot of kids programmes by the time I came along. Tales of the Riverbank, Pogles Wood, Play School, the Herbs, Animal Magic, Bill and Ben, Why Don't You, plus the foreign imports - Champion the Wonder Horse, the Beverly Hillbillies, Belle and Sebastien, Heidi, the Addams Family.

After I finished work my one treat was to watch the Magic Roundabout. As it did not come on until five to six it always made me late to start my evening job, behind the bar. When I finally admitted to the gaffer why I was always late they never bothered to pick me up for being late again. I think they felt sorry for me. I WAS nineteen at the time.Cheers

Of course, I am going back to watching with my children in the 70’s! Looking at the dates for myself I might just about have been around for Andy Pandy which started in 1950 and Bill and Ben 1952 if we had a television then. I know we had one for the Coronation in 1953.

Do we ever grow up, I wonder? I am always drawn to Shaun the Sheep - can't help it!

Love Shaun the Sheep, Wallace and Gromit and really enjoyed the recently Oscar-nominated short Robin Robin.

I think that it's unhealthy to stop laughing at kids favourites. Nick Park and his team's stuff is incredibly well done. The attention to detail is magnificent. I've watched the Wallace and Gromit movies multiple times but I bet I still haven't noticed all the gags.

A good excuse to watch your favourites over and over again so as to catch up on what you miss. Chicken Run had me in stitches. Lol Lol Lol

I could listen to Professor Stanley Unwin all day long, it was always a special treat when he appeared on TV.

Gosh, I think that this is the first time I haven't agreed with you guys Oh my I thought Unwin was funny the first few times I heard him but got tired of his act very quickly. I thought it was hard enough learning real tech babble without listening to fake stuff too. I felt the same about Game of Thrones. Take away the sex n violence and it was fake history. I didn't want to know real thing, dragons or no dragons! I have developed a slight interest in history but only as a data source for Coventry's many puzzles.
