I like this one because it shows the entrance to the cellar on the left. The building had been pulled out with later construction, meaning that the opening wasn't still big enough for a person climbing down what would have had steps.
You can also see how the road would have originally drained with a single gully along the middle running down towards Ironmonger Row. I speculate that the drain may have crossed under the Golden Lion and run along what would have been the outer edge of the priory wall, down to the river. Alternatively it might have run down Palmer Lane but that might have resulted in too much accumulation. The priory however had something of a warren of drains serving it, so the water might have formed a source of (smelly) water for that system.
