Intrigued by the clock in the previous post, I found another view from the same era… The design of the clock appears different

It's deceptive MR. The bulb of the pipe in the second photo merges with a chimney in the background. Colourization of black and white photos was also very iffy and open to contradiction. The clock goes from black to brown!

In 1912 number 29 was William Clark tobacconist.

Thanks Bohica. I think I must have skipped to bed after I posted and should have explained to Philip. A little before his time I expect. In my later days we used to frequent the cafe for a Vienna steak and chips and a cuppa from the big man's giant metal teapot. Happy Days
