The new facility is actually in Harnall Lane West. I understand that the old building consisted of largely dormitory accommodation and has been replaced by single rooms.

I have found a 12 minute video of Coventry and in between the architect's models, there are great shots of Coventry, so detailed that I had to keep stopping the video to browse! I do hope it is of interest to all and not been duplicated.
Bear with me though, I can't seem to link it

In the 60s/70s we demolished some properties in Much Park Street, I can remember walking through the attic space from one to the other. Only some of the buildings had to go, and they moved some others to Spon Street. Does anyone know which buildings these were?

Yes they were the buildings now used as Frank Harveys Hi-Fi, the 1450 Cafe Bar and Aspell & Company (jewellers).

Thank you again dutchman. It is something that I have often thought about, and I will have a look next time I am down that way, I suppose there is a plaque or something.
