John Kemp Starley - James Starley's nephew. He did much to further the evolution of the bicycle. His basic diamond framed design, known as the Safety Cycle, with smaller wheels (as opposed to the 5ft Penny Farthing wheel), remains fundamentally unchanged to this day.
